Running Strong for American Indian Youth

Helping American Indian people meet their immediate survival needs.

America’s original people, American Indians, are also its poorest people and many of the poorest counties in our nation are located on Indian reservations. Christian Relief Services and its project, Running Strong for American Indian Youth®, are working to change this through providing American Indian communities with food, water, basic relief, emergency assistance and support services for needy youth and their families including programs fostering self-reliance.

Americans Helping Americans

Providing a hand-up to families and children in Appalachia.

Poverty in America is a daily reality for millions of people, particularly in Appalachia (a region that stretches from New York all the way to Mississippi). That’s why, since 1985, Christian Relief Services has done all it can to help alleviate poverty across America. Through our affiliate, Americans Helping Americans®, we provide emergency assistance, school supplies, new shoes, new coats, new blankets, hygiene items, monthly and supplemental food, food pantry repair, home repair, or assistance with youth enrichment projects, we are doing all we can to lend a helping hand.

Bread and Water for Africa

Providing a brighter future for Africa's children.

Christian Relief Services has long believed that, as citizens of the wider world, we have an obligation to help others all across the world, not just here in the United States. Most countries have standards of living far below what is enjoyed in the United States. Christian Relief Services, for over 33 years, has worked to raise the standard of living in other countries, primarily in Africa, but also in Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, and Lithuania. We do this by through our project Bread and Water for Africa®; by supporting grassroots initiatives and hospitals by providing medicine, medical supplies, clean water, education, vocational training, literacy and agricultural assistance.
